Ahmed Osman contends that Christianity was an ancient Egyptian Religion. Though I don't agree with that conclusion, his research connecting Christianity with Egypt is spectacular. Oman falls victim of the contention that Egypt invented everything in our world, including our religions.

The reality was that Egyptians throughout history purchased their advisors, engineers and even their religion from other cultures. The coming of the Messiah accounts are older than the pyramids. Osman compares the chronology of the Old Testament and its factual content with ancient Egyptian records to show that the major characters of the Bible--including Solomon, David, Moses and Joshua find their counterparts in Egyptian historical figures. He further contends that not only were the characters of the Bible part of Egyptian history, but that the dogma of Christianity finds is counterpart in known Egyptian beliefs.

Osman contends that Christianity survived through the millennia embedded in Egyptian cults that survived until the time of Constantine in the fourth century. The story of the Roman-appointed Bishop Theophilus who led a mob in to the Serapeum quarter of Alexandria burned the Alexandrian Library, destroying all records of the connections between ancient Egypt and Christianity. This is a ground-breaking volume which takes the origins of Jesus back into earliest recorded history. The concept of "Resurrection" is what built the pyramids.
